This product is used as a raw material for fatty acid production.

It is mainly utilized in the soap manufacturing process.  This can be effectively utilized also to produce MCGs and monolaurin by a combination of lipase-catalyzed hydrolysis and esterification.

Acid oil is also a good fat source in animal feeds.
